My P365 has this rattle when I shake it side to side. (Don’t ask why I even started doing that, I don’t even know.) After inspecting the FCU, I realized that the rattling is coming from the take down lever “bar” which runs down the left side of the FCU. It has just enough play to make the noise.

I was in the same situation as you. New 365 owner, took out the FCU to clean around a bit, and parts started falling right out. But I was pulling the trigger which I believe made the one pin fall out and then it was comically downhill from there (the takedown lever was next, then the safety lever, etc.).

If it is push it down, make sure you are pushing the take down lever towards front of gun while pushing up on slide release. I overall like the SAS version of the P365, but for some reason the non-existent slide lock and takedown lever bothered me. There’s no good reason why honestly. When reassembling, it's important to push the slide, in one smooth motion, all the way back until you can lock the slide back with the slide catch, then close the TD lever if it doesn't close itself.Of course the main issue is that takedown lever was not in the fully unlocked mode when that slide came forward. Now the takedown lever is probably pushing up on the slide, causing it to jam. The hook end of the takedown lever should wrap around the bottom point of the sear.
