Matthew 10 enduring word.
These things, though primarily intended for direction to the apostles, are of use to all Christ's ministers, with whom, by his word, Christ, and will be always to end the world. Mat 10:1-4. Here we are told, I. Who they were that Christ ordained to be his apostles or ambassadors; they were his disciples, v. 1.

The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah. a. The vision of Isaiah: This book contains the prophecies of Isaiah, the son of Amoz, who ministered from about 740 to 680 B.C.A woman can trust her own ability to influence and control her husband, or she can trust God and be submissive. A woman can trust her outward beauty and adornment, or she can trust God and cultivate a gentle and quiet spirit. It all comes back to trust in God; so she should be like the holy women who trusted in God. c.i. This daughter Herodias is described as a girl ( Matthew 14:11 ). This means that she was not a cute little girl; “ Girl is a term which can be used of those of marriageable age; she was at least a teenager.” (France) ii. “The dancing of a mere girl would have been no entertainment to the sensual revelers.

It is a willingness to trust in, to rely on, and to cling to. 2. (2) Faith enabled people in the past to overcome. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. a.
