I don't want it for taming, but i want it to get a Dino unconscious very fast and don't want to wait hours, shooting arrows or darts at it or feed it with like ten million narcotics.When the dino is fully tamed it will be healed. Like others have suggested give more time , maybe around 5-10 seconds between shots as torpor ramps up . After it falls down then its knocked out then you put food and narco berries in it. Check out that link that njiiko posted as that will give you more insight on how taming works .

The 2 things that lower TE are damage taken during tame and how many times it eats. The more times it eats the lower it goes. If you don't have any food in it then you can't see where TE is at.
